PENICILLIN FOR BRONCHITIS

Recd. 6 p.m. London, Jan. 6. The inhalation of penicillin by sufferers from chronic bronchitis is among several new uses lor the drug, said Dr. Charles H. Smith, of St. Mary’s hospital penicillin unit, addressing women health officers. Sprayed on a sore throat, penicillin would cure inlection within 24 hours, he said. Penicillin had no curative value for the common cold, but would stop a thick running nose.
