SAID TO BE DUE TO NOT RE-FUELLING Washington, Dec. 20 Failure to refuel for the return trip of 2400 miles from Honolulu to California caused an airliner to make a forced landing in the Pacific with 18 fatalities on November 3. The “New York Hera’d-Tribune’s” correspondent says a flight-engineer who allegediv checked the fuel with a rain-wet stick pronounced the tanks were filled. He will be court-mar-tialled.
