MARTON NOTES

Y.F.C. DISTRICT SPORTS MEETING

A Marton district sports meeting has been convened by the Marton Y.F.C., assisted by Messrs K. McK. Duncan and D. G. Paterson and others, to be held at Mr. Duncan’s property, “Flockhart,” Cliff Road, Marton, on Saturday, January 19, 1946, at 10.30 a.m. A comprehensive programme has been arranged which will bo issued shortly and which will provide competitions and entertainment for young and old. The usual facilities will be available on the ground. Proceeds will be in aid of the National Y.F.C. Memorial Fund which is to be as large as possible. All members of the Marton Club who were not. present at the meeting last week, who would be willing to assist the committee, are asked to please notify the secretary, 'phono 5914, or the assistant secretary, ’phone 5433, as soon as possible. Members are reminded that there is a groat deal of work to be done and as the number of assistants is still very small, as large a number of vo’unt n ers as possible will be very greatly appreciated.
