WANGANUI SALE PRICES ON PAR WITH LAST WEEK “Prices generally were much on a par with last week,” stated Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd, reporting on heir weekly Wanganui sale yesterday. It was the last till January 9. A good entry of store cattle, considering the present food position, sold very well. All classes of pigs were a shade easier. Values were:— Sheep.—Fat ewes, to 295; far wethers, 27s 6d; fat b.f. 2-tooths, 24s to 26s 8d; hoggets, to 30s 6d; one pen of store 2-tooth wethers bringing 24s Id; 2-tooth ewes, 22s Bd. Cattle.—Fat P.A. bullocks, £lO 15s to £l5 Is; fat ex-dairy cows, £6 15s to £7 17s 6d; store P.A. Hereford bullocks, £9 4s; Hereford cows, £5 10s: P.A. heifers, £5 16s to £7 Ils; springing heifers, to £ll. Pigs—Porkers, £2 7s 6d to £3; weaners, 25s to 325; stores, 37s 6d: choppers, to £4. Vealers.—Average vealers, 39s to £3 ss.
