STORM IN BRITAIN
GALE LASHES COAST MINES WASHED ASHORE Recd. 8 p.m. London, Dec. 19. A 70-miie-an-hour gale lashed the British coast vesterday and is continuing unabated. Constant watch is being kept on two breaches in th= seawall—at Sand Gate, Ken’ and Portland, Dorset. The “Teat storm battered shins off every coast. One sent an S.O.S. for kelp. Gigantic breakers sl’rmed against the sea fronts and mines were washed ashore and areas were flooded. A man and a woman w»re blown over the dockside at Aberdeen an-' •• ->wned. Troonshin sailings between stone and Calais have been delayed. The Air Ministry, late vesterdav. forecast a continuance of stormy weather
