MOSLEM REPLIES TO CRITICISM
Rccd. 6 p.m. London, Dec. 18. Sir Oswald Mosley, in a statement to the Press, replying to criticisms of his meeting on December 15, said:— “Can anything surpass the impudent hypocrisy of politicians who supported the World War on the pica of preserving freedom of thought and speech and then made victory echo with demands for suppression of freedom in everyone except themselves?” He added: Some people were indignant because we no longer had Defence Regulation 188 to suppress ideas and arguments they could not. answer in fair debate. They preferred to shelter behind political intimidation.
