PACKING UP YOUR PRESENTS
When you are sending off your Christinas presents, remember that it is much more delightful to receive a gift that is carefully packed up than one which is hurriedly arranged. Even the most trifling gifts should be daintily wrapped up rand small cards with the season’s greetings enclosed with your name attached, or failing a card a little note should be written.
Although the postal workers do their best in the careful handling of Christmas parcels, there is always a tremendous rush, and Christmas presents should be packed very securely. Even if the recipient thinks her gift is somewhat unnecessarily embedded in packing, she will be grateful for the kind thought of the sender who was evidently determined to ensure that no accident happened in the post. Put plenty of string round your parcels and fasten the knots firmly, and don’t put. the stamps on by guesswork. Have everything weighed at the post oflice. Also, as we are annually urged by the postal authorities, post early, so that your friends will receive their gifts in good time.
