BULLS ROSE SHOW
A SPLENDID EXHIBITION (0.C.) Bulls, Nov. 20. There was a large decorative display and a gpod selection of cut Howers at the Rose Show, held under the auspices of St.- Andrew’s Church, Bulls, and St. Martin's Church, Greatford, in the Bulls Town Hall on Monday and there was a large attendance of the general public. There was an exhibition of more than 100 rose specimens by the principal judge, Mr. F. Mason (Feilding), Mrs. T. R. Willis (Greatford), and Mr. L. Moss (Greatford), al members of the National Rose Society. The show was opened by Mr. E. B. Gordon, M.P., who congratulated the promoters on the wonderful display of blooms. The championship was won by Miss N. Wilson, Bulls, for a “Sani McCready” entered in the amateur section. It was a well formed rose of excellent quality, though small, said the judge. The best bloom in the open section was shown by J. C. Glover, and in the novice classes by Miss Walker.
The Goodall Memorial Cup for most points in the show was won by Mrs. Eyles, the amateur Rose Cup by Mrs. Rowe. Turakina, the Willis Memorial Cup by Miss N. Wilson and the Decorative Cup by Mrs. Healey. The points prize for the cut flower*section went to Mrs. Handley. Other awards were:— ROSES.
