FOOTBALL STRIKE ABANDONED
Recd. 8 p.m. London, Nov. 13. It was officially announced, after a meeting at Manchester between the management and players’ delegates, Association footballers will not. strike as intended. The players’ maximum wages were increased from £8 to £9 and match payments from £1 to £5. Compensation for injuries will be paid according to the Workmen’s Compensation Act.
