Swimming Season With the return of overseas personnel the Central Swimming Club is looking forward to a successful season. Several members are in training with a view to competing in interclub fixtures later in the year. A club night is being held at the St. George's Gate Baths to-night.
Marton Hospital The action of the Waitotara County Council in protesting against the proposal to build a new hospital in Marton was endorsed at a recent meeting of the Maxwell branch of Federated Farmers. At the monthly meeting of the Waitotara County Council yesterday the Maxwell branch forwarded the text of a resolution which was passed unanimously.
