Dr. E. T. Hewat, Wanganui, left for Dunedin yesterday, where lie will be an. associate examiner in the degree examinations in dentistry. Mr. S. McDowalJ, Eeilding, at a recent meeting of the Council of the N.Z. Society of Acccountants, was granted a transfer of status in the society to Fellow Public Accountant. The death has oeccurred of Mr. Charles Edward Tubb, aged 79, of Whtingarei. Born in Lyttelton, Mr. Tubb entered the drapery business as a young man and continued until he retired in. 1932. A member ot the Masonic fraternity, he was a past master in the craft.
