IMMEDIATE IMPRESSES IN GALLOP
PROSPECTS IN EPSOM ON SATURDAY Recd. 7.45 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 2u Shannon and Immediate showed dash at Victoria Park to-day in their semi-final trials for the Epsom Handicap. Shannon, the pre-post favourite for the Epsom, covered the last half-mile of a six furlong gallop in 514. Immediate ran a sterling seven in 1.313 on the outside section of the track. He seemed to be travelling comfortably throughout yet the time recorded is seldom equalled on the outside section. Everything about Immediate’s work suggests that he is a sturdy galloper above the average.
