ARRIVAL IN NEW YORK AS A PRIZE OF WAR

Reed. 10 p.m. New York, Sept. 24. The Europa, before the war the pride of the German merchant marine, arrived manned by a Navy prize crew. The Europa was officially attached by the Federal Court, as a first step towards seizure, as a prize o£ war. The Europa, with 4.314 returning troops aboard, was given a noisy I welcome as she passed up the New York Harbour.
