CLOSING DATES FOR OVERSEAS The chief postmaster at Wanganui, Mr. D. J. B. Walker, has forwarded the following advice regarding the closing of Christmas mails for overseas: Civilans’ parcels, newspapers, and surface letters for United Kingdom, Middle East, Africa, India, South East Asia Command, etc., should be posted nob later than October 15, and similar articles for Canada, other parts o£ North and South America and West Indies not later than October 31. For Australia, Fiji, and the Paciflc Islands not later than November 25. Civilans' air mail letters should be pos'.ed not later than November 30 with the exception that letters posted up to December 10 for Australia, Fiji, and Pacific Islands will connect with overseas despatch. Forces: In respect of parcels, newspapers and surface letters for the Forces the latest posting date lor the United Kingdom, Middle East, Africa, India, South East Asia Command, etc., should be October 6; for Canada, and other parts of North and South America and West Indies, October 31. and Australia, Fiji, and Paciflc Islands by November 15.

Air mail letters for the United Kingdom, Middle East, Africa, India, South East Asia Command, etc., by November 25 and Canada and other parts of North and South America and West Indies. Australia, Fiji and Pacific Islands by November 30.
