EVA BRAUN SAID TO BE NOT DEAD
Recd. 8 p.m. Paris, Sept. 24. Eva Braun (Hitler’s wife), is not dead, according to the Paris newspaper L’Aurore. The paper claims she is held prisoner by American Army authorities as a surprise witness at the trial of war criminals at Nuremberg. L’Aurore declares that two months ago “Madame Hitler” was seen to return to her Munich flat, accompanied tar American officers. She collected ■tr clothes and gave instructions to a •rvant, who said she appeared very Wed. An American officer said: “Braun is not dead. We cannot heln thinking that the oth n r corpse foum 7 at the Berlin Chancellery, and stated to be Hitler’s, mav be a false one toe. and that he is h’ding, or is hidden in a discreet place.” L’Aurore asks: “As they hold his wUe. might not the Americans bn hoping to catch this monster in some trap?”
