NEW CRICKET CLUB FORMED
WILL FIELD SENIOR TEAM
A new Wanganui cricket club to be called United Old Boys was formed at a recent meeting. The club, which will replace United, which disbanded shortly after the outbreak of war, will retain many of the former United players. Officers elected were: President, Mr. W. R. B. Nicholson; vice-presidents, Messrs W. A. Chainey, E. Healey, C. S. Young, S. H. Cave, W. Battcll, W. J. Gilbert. J. Coull, H. N. Jones, R. Hatrick, W. Johnston, C. T. Fyfe, C. Russell. S. L. Fleming. A. H. Hurley, G. Crichton, and T. D. Baker; club captain. Mr. L. Vasta: secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. H. Felt, and E. C. Gee; delegates to Wanganui Cricket Association, Messrs R. I. Sewell and E. C. Gee.
The club will enter a senior team in the Wanganui Cricket Association's senior comnelition. _
