OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT EXPECTED TO-DAY PROVISION TO BE MADE FOR < '{EDITS. Recd. S p.m. V.’-is/.ington, Aug. 21. President. Trunrtn is expected lorm - ally announce the terminal.on of the Lend-Lease .scheme to-day. Straight Lcnd-Lea-p will be slopped immediately and requisitions o.i which contracts have been placed by the United States will be filled for those countries, which have macle special agreements for continu ng the supplies, on a credit basis. Two months w.ii be granted, during which the countries may request additional supplies, pro\iding they pay for them. Ameri' jn official., po nteil out that the term nation of Lend-Lease must Le followed oy quick moves to make credit available .or toreign purchases through the Exports and Imports Bank, tn avoid economic disturbances, consequent on po’itical unrest in r.urope.
