REUNION IN WANGANUI
NELSON COLLEGE OLD BOYS
The Wanganui branch of the Nelson College Old Boys’ Association held a successful re-union dinner at. the Rutland Hotel on Saturday night. Approximately 50 old boys attended, representing branches throughout New Zealand.
Toasts honoured were: The King, proposed by the president, Mr. 'W. L. Rutherford; a silent toast in memory of old boys killed overseas, proposed by Mr. 11. R. Beauchamp; “Old Bovs Overseas,” Judge Dykes, reply by Dr. P. V. Graves; “The School,” Mr. J. Dash, reply Mr. J. E. Paterson; “The Association,” Mr. S. F. Morris, reply Mr. J. Newman; “Kindrod Associations,” Mr. N. U. Rix-Trott, reply Mr. M. B. Hirst.
A no iceable feature of the reunion was the enthusiasm shown by young members from distant areas, and by veteran old boys of Wanganui. A tribute was paid to the organising work carried out by the Wanganui branch secretary, Mr. 11. R. Gibbons, and the committee.
