Wellington, Aug. 20.

Mr Fraser also announced to-day that all members of the Armed Forces who were at prese.A on indefinite leave without pay, including members of the Air Force Reserve, would now be eligioie to receive the full range of reha Dili tation benefits.

He expia.ned that in the past the Rehabiktation Board had been unable to consider the grant of certain rehabilitation benefits to some of these men, as they were under Lability lor further service in the Forces.

“It will now be possible,” Mr. Fraser sa.d, “for the Rehabilitation Board to consider granting the lull range of rehabilitation benefits to all such men.” In addition to the normal privileges of mufti allowances, deferred pay, and demobilisation leave which these men had received when they were released from the Forces, they had also been el.gible for rehabilitation benefits in the way o' loans for houses and furniture, and to participate in the allocation of State houses. But the arrangements now made would ensure that they would become entitled to the lull scale of rehabilitation benefits.
