WOMEN’S DIVISIONS OF FARMERS’ UNION

THE OKOIA BRANCH Mrs. Ecatlie presided over a fair attendance at the March meeting ol the Okoia branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers Union. The meeting opened with the reading of the "creed” and members remained standing in sympathy with the relatives of the late Mrs. Neilsoi), who was one of the foundation members of the Okoia branch. Mrs. Beattie gave a brief outline of a new nursery scheme sponsored by the division, to take the place of the housekeeper scheme. Competition for the year "new clothes out of old” for refugee children, was won by Mrs. J. Bland, and a competition arranged by Mrs. Beattie was won by Mrs. Gardner.
