WANGANUI SAILING CLUB

Members of the Wanganui Sailing Club staged the final race for the Kelly Cup on Saturday in blustery weather. Six Takapuna class boats lined up for the start, but only three completed Ihe course. Jeanette’s tiller carried away. Blue Bird was forced ashore and Viking withdrew. Rosalie was first home, followed by Valerie and Aloha.

On the aggregate the trophy as won by Valerie (J. Deerness and N. Jannings) with 406 points, Rosalie (M. Wall and N. Weekes) being second with 357, followed by Aloha (323) and Jeanette (257).
