21ST BIRTHDAY PARTY More than 100 friends gathered at Mr. G. Aiken’s residence, “Gowanlea,” on Thursday night last to celebrate the -fining of age of his youngest son Dougias. Dancing was held in the woolshed, while cards were played at the house, and a jolly time was spent by all who attended.
After a delicious buffet supper had been partaken of, Mr. M. Dallison proposed the toast of the King and called upon Mr. N. Johnston to propose the toast of the guest of honour, who suitably replied. The iced birthday cake was made and given to Doug, by Mrs. W. Morrison. A toast was also drunk in honour of Mrs. B. Lambie, whose birthday was also that
Many good and useful gifts were received by the guest of honour and a cable from his brother Ron on active service.
