PRISONER-OF-WAR CAMP RUGBY TEAM
SIDE TO PIAY WANGANUI The following team has been selected to represent the Prisoner-of-War Camp against a Wanganui team on September 2:— Full-back, F. M. Fair; three-quar-ters, C. P. McOnie, K. C. Dunlop, W. Johnson, five-eighths, J. J. Gonley (Ist), H. R. Gargan (2nd); half-back, K. Black,; back row, L. Mahony; side row, D. F. Ahern and N. W. Grenfell; locks, E. T. Guilford, K. Percy; front row, H. Mouldey, J. McCormick, E. Cameron. Reserves: H. Shelton, L. E. Erb, J. H. Couch, W. S. Bishop The manager is Mr. K. M. Meuli. Included in the team are Black. Mouldey, Gargan, Grenfell, Ahern and Cameron, all of whom played for the side against Wanganui last season, During the current season, Phair, Ahern, Dunlop and McCormick represented the Wairarapa. J. J. Gonley is a past South Canterbury representative, while Percy and Shelton have both played for teams in the N.Z.E.F. in the Pacific.
