HITHER AND THITHER.
Prisoner of War Relations. Extracts from the British Prisoner of War Journal were read at the meeting of th*» Wanganui Prisoners oi War Relations held yesterday in the Y.M.-Y.W.C.A. Lounge. Mrs. Douglas Wilson, who presided, had arranged bulbs, frees-ias and other spring flowers in the lounge for the occasion. All stood in silence as a mark of respect for the late Mr. R. Orton, and sympathy was expressed with Mrs. Orlon and family. Mrs. Wilson announced that a lot of letters and parcels had been sent on from Italy to the prisoners of war now in German camps. One man had stated he had received his April mail and parcel, also a letter in May. Mrs. Wilson also read an extract about the preparations going on to receive the prisoners of war in England. There was a good attendance at. the meeting and news exchanged. The tea hostesses were Mesdames Sopp, Baxter, Chick, Ridge and Aitken. Mesdames Nelson, Wann, Taylor and Baldwin were in charge of the stall.
