A Salt Lake City message says that 15 polygamists, who have 56 wcves ana 283 children, have been sentenced from on P to five years’ imprisonment for unlawful cohabitation. In one of the strangest cases in legal history, based on written stipulations and involving no witnesses, a district Judge convicted 15 polygamists on a charge of “unlawful cohabitation with 55 plural wives." The United Pre>.says those convicted staled: “We prayed for conviction, because we want the issue to be settled by lhe Supreme Court once and for all." The wives told an interviewer that most people were so afraid of problems of plural marriage that they would never advance far enough to learn its advantages.
