Tom Russell has been a member of the City Council for three years, and he again offers his services on May 27.' Tom Russell has a record of progress and initiative to show for his three years on the council. He was responsible for organising the Civic recognition of our servicemen leaving for overseas and has faithfully attended the many functions that have been held from time to time. He is chairman of the Soldiers’ Entertainment Committee. Tom Russell has taken a live interest in the advancement of the City from a tourist angle, and was the main advocator for the establishment of a Government Tourist Agency in Wanganui. This Agency has been functioning now for some time. He has also been a keen enthusiast for establishing a Wanganui Radio Station, and if returned on Saturday will continue •with this excellent project until it is achieved. He is chairman of the Tourist and Publicity Committee.
