TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD

At the last monthly meeting of the Wanganui Townswomen’s Guild Mrs. R. W. McNeil presided. An interesting programme included musical items, songs by Misses Audrie Hessy and Patricia Boyd, accompanied by Mrs. R. Hicks, and an elocutionary item by Miss Beryl McElwain, who arranged the programme. Reports of circle activities were given by Mesdames West and McElwain. A feature of the afternoon was a talk by Mr. IL G. Taiboys, president of the N.Z. Institute of Architects, who took as his subject “The House of the Future.” Miss Tuflin gave a report, on the N.C.W. Afternoon lea \w.is served, and the “bring-and-huy” stall, supervised byMrs. Batt, did good business. Mesdames West and Archibald were appointed delegates to the W.W.S.A. Hound Table Conference.
