PROVISION FOR PUBLIC SERVICE (P.A.) Wellington, April 20. Powers enabling the Minister of Finance to issue national savings bonds in settlement of •claims for accrued annual leave owing to members of the Public Service, is contliined in a Government Service (accrued annual leave) Emergency Regulations, 1944. For the purposes of the regulations “accrued annual leave" means leave of absence for recreation that has not been taken by any person on December 31. 1941, reduced by. firstly, all such leave in excess of six weeks that has not been taken by him on September 30, 1939, and secondly, all leave of absence for recreation taken by him during 1942 or 1943.
