TECHNiCAL-COLLEGIATE 1 SCHOOLS KEENLY CONTESTED EVENTS Keen competition was witnessed at Cook’s Gardens yesterday when the annual atheltic sports fixture between Wanganui Collegiate School and Wanganui Technical College were decided in fine weather before a large and enthusiastic crowd. Collegiate School won the Honours of the day, registering 280 points to Technical’s 200 points. During the gathering no less than 14 new records were established, including the 100 yards sprint, when a Collegiate competitor recorded 10.3 seconds, eclipsing the 1940 effort which was established by a Technical representative.
