MEETING AT EPSOM TO-DAY Good fields, which include a number of South Island horses, are carded for the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting at Epsom to-day. Each event discloses that there is material for a wide range of fancies and some spirited racing should result. The classic races, the Great Northern Trotting Stakes and the Great Northern Trotting Derby, will give added interest to a fine programme. Owing to the classic events being included the Orakei Handicap, for novice pacers, will be ■ run at 10.45 a.m. The totalisator will not be open for this race. The betting at the meeting will be run on the win-and-place system.
