COUNCIL DISCUSSES THE WATER SUPPLY UVIPRO\'EMEN’TS AT RESERVOIR. (0.C.) Marton, Feb. 10. Recently an inspection of all properties in the borough of Marton was made in connection with wastage oi water, leaking taps, etc. This proven to be very satisfactory, only six taps requiring “ attention. However, oneratepayer had made good use of a hose in watering a compost heap, alter a warning from the council nad been made public. Served with warning, the ratepayer replied that he did not realise the seriousness oi the offence committed and apologised. As a result, the council authorised the borougn overseer (Mr. W. Brant) to disconnect any water service where water was being wilfully wasted.
