SCHOOL TEACHING APPOINTMENTS
WANGANUI DISTRICT THIRTEEN RESIGNATIONS I Twenty-five teaching appointments, keven of them war appointments, were confirmed at the monthly meeting ot the Wanganui Education Board yesterday. In addition, 13 teachers’ resignations were received. The large number is explained by the fact that it was the first board meeting of the year, and usually at the start of the school year there are many staff changes. . The following teaching appointments were confirmed: —Mr. C. P. Bates, headmaster, Gonville; Miss J. N Hague, sole teacher, Tunanui Road; Mr R W. Atmore, assistant master, Castlecliff; Mr. Thos. L. Harp, assistant master, Keith Street; Mr. A. L. Herdman, assistant master, Palmerston North Intermediate; Miss R. M. Edgecombe, infant mistress, St. John’s Hill; Miss V. L. M. Hayes, assistant mistress. Kakariki; Miss N. K. Marshall, assistant mistress, Manchester Street; Miss G. M. Gane, additional assistant, Wanganui Intermediate (speech training clinic); Mrs. M. Clifton, domestic science instructress, Palmerston North Intermediate; Mrs. F. G. Barker, domestic science instructress, Palmerston North Intermediate; Miss M. J. Healy, domestic science instructress, Ohakune Centre, Miss H. Clyton, sole teacher, Dunolly; Miss J. M. Bailey, temporary sole teacher, Waitahinga.
