BOWLING CLUB RESULTS. On Saturday the final rink championship of the club was played the two rinks being Fitzgibbon (skip),* Baskin. E. Clark Morgan and Beer (skip), Southcombe. Chamberlain and McDonald. Up to the tea adjournment the board showed the teams evenly matched, but later Fitzgibbon’s rink steadily drew away from B-eer's rink and the score on the 21st end was Fitzgibbon 30, Beer 14. Throughout the game Beer’s rink played good bowls but had to give way to the younger skip’s brilliant driving and forceful play. On the day Fitzgibbon played splendid bowls and carri-ea his team to victory by skilful use of the drive. Practise games were played as follow*—P. Bremer, Warwick, M. Bremer, Couttg 27. v. Heginbotham, Dallison. Milne. Billon 23; Dalton, Prouse, Cook, Clarke 30. v. Howie, Alexander, Cook, W. Aiken 18; Fowler, Bourke. Harris, Parkes 17, v. Strachan, G. Aiken, Stephens, Castles 25; Pepper, Parkinson. Tuffin, Salter 27, v. Hodgetts. Orsman, Reardon, Scadden 16. AIRMAN HONOURED. On Friday night the Citizen’s Committee held another enjoyable dance to entertain Sergeant Dick Thompson and L.A.C. Trevor O’Leary. Mr. J. J. Johnston presented the two airmen with a wallet each, and wished them luck. The music wa s supplied by M. Fairweather and the supper arrangements were in the hands of the W.D.F.U. and Citizens' Committee.
