Mosston Women's Institute. The December meeting of Mosston Women s Institute took the form of a Maori afternoon, when tales of Maori life were told. The children of Mosston School gave the Maori stick game, and Mrs. Cairns, for the Golden Thread series, spoke on Maori lore. Songs were sung by the W.I. singing circle, and carols formed community sining. The hostesse were Mesdames Beaven, Guy, Sparks and Wakelin. The competitions were: Collection of vegetables, Mesdames S. Shaw 1, C. Shaw 2, Cairns 3; roses, Mesdames Sparks 1, Stllboyn 2; best flower, Mesdames Sparks 1, Cairns 2, Cathro 3.
