GOVERNMENT OUSTED MARTIAL LAW IN CAPITAL (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, Recd. 7 p.m. London, Jan. 4. The Bulgarian Government has been ousted in a pro-Allied coup d’etat led | by Mouchanov, a former Premier, according to reports from Berne. Martial law has been declared in Sofia. According to Stockholm reports, the Bulgarian Minister of War is the only Minister retaining office. A state of siege has been ordered, as well as a general mobilisation. The Berne correspondent of the Evening Standard says that the Bulgarian people are convinced that Germany has lost the war and that their fate depends on how soon they cut their bonds with Hitler. The Berne correspondent jof the New York Times says the Germans are reported to have taken over complete control of Bulgarian telephones, telegraphs and railways.
