TWO NEW ZEALANDERS

INSTRUCTORS IN TEXAS. Reed. 6 p.m. LondoA. Jan. 2. Two of the few New Zealanders who have been appointed instructors ♦ o the Americans in Texas are FlyingOfficers R. G. Williams, Oamaru. and P. Silbeth, Wellington. They trained in Georgia and then took an instructor’s course at Randolp Field, Texas. Williams became an instructor on Curtiss twin-engined aircraft at Ellington Field. Texas, and Sibeth on single-engined aircraft at Victoria Field. Texas. All their pupils are Americans. They have now returned to England. Williams hopes to fly Lancasters and Sibeth Spitfires. Flight-Lieut. C. W. Evans. Wanganui. who did two tours of operations, one with the No. 75 Squadron, as observer. is now a pilot. He qualified for his wings in Canada. He hopes to fly Mosquitoes.
