BRITISH COMMANDOS ON SYMI ISLAND

Recd. 9.15 p.m. London, Nov. 19. British Commando troops without loss carried out a successful raid against the island of Symi, in the Dodecanese, five miles from the Turkish coast and 40 miles south-east ol Cos.

Cairo radio says three groups landed and overwhelmed a group of enemy soldiers, destroyed the enemy headquarters, damaged a power' station, blew up six barges and destroyed an ammunition dump.
