INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
PHYSICAL DISPLAY BY PUPILS. Parents and friends of the Wanganui Intermediate School attended in large numbers the exhibition of physical work given by the pupils yesterday afternoon. The opening group ol activities comprised team games for boys, four groups of teams moving in rotation from one game to another. Other .boys’ activities included Maori stick games (rhythmic games to music) and a group of agility exircises performed by more than half the boys of the school. Teams of boys and girls worked out a series of gymnastic exercises, a touch of humour being introduced by a couple of clowns. Another item of interest showed a class working through one of the regular tables of exercises. A feature of the afternoon’s display was the folk daqcing, introduced in three groups. All the girls took part in these and in their drill costume looked very attractive as they worked out the intricate figures of the dances.
