WAIROA-GISBORNE RAILWAY (P.A.) Napier. Nov. 15. The Wairoa-Gisborne railway service has again been disorganised, and at the moment all trains are held up three miles north of Paratu. A slip 15 feet deep and estimated to contain 600 yards of material has buried the track. Three-quarters of a mile further north, both ends of a small tunnel have been closed by slips. r Jne 5.10 train for Gisborne is held up at Wharerata, and two railcars are held at Nuhaka, on their way to Gisborne, the passengers being transported over the closed areas by buses. To-night the bus service >v’ill be extended from Nuhaka to Gisborne. Midway between Wharerata and Wairoa a washout occurred and goods trains were held up temporarily.
