CASE FOR CROWN CONCLUDES <P.A.) Auckland, Nov. 16. Police evidence brought to a close evidence for the Crown in the' trial of George Brownlee Isdale, aged medical practitioner, of Ngaruawahia, There are eight charges against accused of unlawfully using an instrument or other means with intent to procure miscarriage and one of conspiring to procure miscarriage. Counsel for the defence said he was not calling evidence. Counsels’ address to the jury will be heard to-morrow.

LONG TRIAL NEARING END.

(P.A.) Auckland, Nov. 17. The final addresses by counsel were partly heard to-day in the long trial ot George Brownlee Isdale, aged 51. medical practitioner, Ngaruawahia, on eight charges of unlawfully using ar. instrument or other means to procure miscr.riage, and one of conspiring to procure miscarriage. Evidence taken at this hearing since Monday of last week has filled 200 typed sheets of foolscap containing between 96,01 K and 100,000 words. The hearing will be continued tomorrow.
