It is reported from Cairo to-nig.d that the German troops invading the island of Leros have cut the island in two. This is at the narrowest point, wnere the island is little more than a mile wide. The British garrison, aided by Italian troops, is putting up a strenuous resistance, and is holding on to the town and harbour of Leros.
