WATERSIDE WORKERS
HIGH WAGES AT LYTTELTON (P.A.) Christchurch, Oct. 2. Wages amounting to £2O were earned by some waterside workers at Lyttelton this week, when the total pay-out was a record—£34,ooo. When bonuses accumulated over the past three months and paid out this week are added, it means that some of the men have drawn up to £5O.
