BRITISH EVACUEES

INCREASED REMITTANCES Recd. 6.45 p.m. London, Sept. 30. An increased scale of remittances to mothers and children evacuated from Britain to Canada, the United States and other places outside the sterling area since the outbreak of war is announced by the Treasury. As from October 1 the limits will be £lO monthly, against £3 at present, for children, and £2O monthly against £lO for adults who left Britain’in charge of children and are still responsible for them.
