WANGANUI MEETING

FIELDS FOR SATURDAY AT MARTON With a total of 174 acceptances for eight races, the Wanganui Jockey Club has had an embarrassingly generous response from owners for the first day of the spring meeting, to be held at Marton on Saturday. Accommodation will be a problem, and owners may have some difficulty in securing suitable jockeys in the big fields. Provision is being made for divisions in the Maden Race (46) and the Dure Hack (27), the “safety” number for the six-furlong barrier at Marton being 25. Betting will be win-and-place, and the acceptances are:—
