REGENT THEATRE
Strange thrills and exotic adventure in the Orient are combined with a novel tale of mystery in the new Warner Bros, film, “Passage From Hongkong,” which screens at the Regent Theatre to-day. Keith Douglas and Lucile Fairbanks, as a couple of Americans stranded in turbulent, Hongkong, became involved in a series of murders and political intrigue, which startles a city already hardened to crime. In an atmosphere as 1 tense as that of Hongkong it. might not be considered too unusual for British military officer to be found murdered in his hotel room, but wit! the claim that he was killed twice and that tnere are four persons who confess to the crime, it is a challenge. Laughter and music are said to spice the fast action of Universal’s new Ritz Brothers comedy tunefilm, “Hi’ya Chum,” the associate feature. Jane Frazee, Robert Paige and Jun-e Clyde are the popular featured players.
