MARINE WAR RISK RATES
(P.A.) 'Wellington. Aug. 30. Local advices have been received of the following alterations in the •schedule marine war risk rates: South America Pacific coast, via Pacific to or from Pacific Islands east of 160 deg.. 4 per cent.; west ifOdeg. east, 5 per cent.; Australia or New Zealand to or from Pacific Islands. 4 per cent.; Bombay, to or from Fiji direct. 9 per cent?; via Australia, 10 per cent. The last quotations of rates of which local advices were received, included North and Central America. Atlantic, and Pacific ports, via any route to or from Australia. New Zealand, and Pacific Islands, and was 7 per cent., except Pacific ports via Pacific, which was 4 per cent. Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands, via Panama to or from tiie West Indies, was 6 per cent. Australia or New Zealand to or from the Mediterranean East of Alexandria was 8i per cent. Turkov (ex-Medi-terranean east of Alexandria and exBlack Sea 3 was 10 per cent; and the rates for India and Ceylon were unchanged at one-eighth per cent.
