VALUES AT FEILDING (P.A.) Feilding, Aug. 27. For a pen of specially prime fat wethers 45s lOd was paid under the hammer at the stock sale to-day when the market for fat sheep was, if anything, slightly firmer. Another pen sold on behalf of the Feilding Patriotic Society brought 45s Id. Fat ewes sold well, though not quite up to last week. There was a splendid market for fat cattle, with prime bullocks selling at equal to 45s per 1001 b.. and prime cow to 35s per 100 lbs. There was no market for run cattle, the few pens offered being passed. The market for store sheep was not brisk. Dairy cattle were keenly sought. Following was the range of prices of the sale: Fat wethers, specially attractive, 45s Id to 45s VOd; prime 41s 7d to 43s Id; good 38s Id Io 40s 4d. Fat ewes, prime. 36s lOd to 38s 4d. Prime two-tooths: Ewes to 38s 4d, hoggets 30s lOd to 33s 4d. Wether hoggets 14s to 18s lOd, ewe hoggets 15s 6d to 22s 2d. Dairy heifers to £l2; cows to £9. Fat stock: Bullocks, prime, £l2 17s 6d to £l5 2s 6d; cows, prime heavy, £9 7s 6d to £l3 17s 6d; prime heifers £ll 17s Gd; vealers 37s 6d.
