NEW ISLAND- OCCUPIED Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, Aug. 23The United States Navy Department says that United States and Canadian troops are continuing the occupation of positions on Kiska and in the adjacent area. A landing has been made on Segula Island, about 20 miles east of Kiska. No Japanese were found. Three Japanese midget submarines, apparently damaged by demolition bombs, were found on n Japanese marine railway at the submarine base on Kiska.—B.O.W.
