FOR MEN ON FURLOUGH
PETROL ALLOWANCE INCREASED (P.A.) Wellington, Aug. 24. The Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, stated to-day that It had become apparent from the number of petrol applications from men on furlough from the Middle East that the men were experiencing difficulties in the travelling necessitated by visits to relatives and friends. Consequently it had been decided to instruct all local fuel controllers to make available a further 10 gallons for the personal use of the man on furlough on
