FOUND DEAD IN BED
BANK CLERK RELIEVING AT BULLS
A member of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand who was normaJU attached to the Wanganui branch, btic was relieving at Bulls, was found dead in his bed in a Bulls hotel on Saturday morning. He was Norman Stewart Ryburn, aged 37, married, wtih two young children. His wife lives in Caius Avenue, Gonville, Wanganui. An inquest was opened in Bulls on Saturday and after evidence of identification had been taken was adjourned sine die. Mr. Ryburn was attached tc the Bank of New Zealand for about 22 years, being stationed earlier in Wanganui, Wellington and Woodville before returning to Wanganui. He had been relieving in Bulls for about three weeks. He was a signaller in the Home Guard at Wanganui and formerly played Rugby for the Wanganui and Old Boys’ Club. For a number of years he was secretary of the Cosmopolitan Bowling Club, but resigned last year on account of military duties. Mr. Ryburn was also an active member of the Wanganui Indoor Bowling Association, playing for the Cosmopolitan Club.
